HIV ALLIANCE

HIV Alliance approaches our work with the goal of ending health disparities and through the lens of health equity. Simply put, we cannot end HIV in Oregon without prioritizing and effectively serving those who are disproportionately impacted and most at risk. Because of this, we are constantly working to address the root causes of HIV-related health disparities that are often systemic in nature. Out priority populations are people living with HIV, LGBTQIA2S+ communities, BIPOC, Spanish-speaking communities, people who are unhoused, people who use/inject drugs, people living on low incomes, sex workers, and people in rural areas. In their communities, these groups experience significant stigma, discrimination, gaps in access, and other serious barriers to wellness. All HIV Alliance services are harm reduction based, nonjudgmental, culturally/linguistically responsive, low barrier, and trauma informed so that we can best meet the needs of the people we serve and ultimately reduce health disparities in Oregon.
